Feefo 2016 – the year in review

What a year! From Brexit to Trump, 2016 has had its fair share of headlines!

Here at Feefo, we had a year packed with exciting news of our own – from tech upgrades to awards, here’s a round-up of what 2016 looked like for Feefo.

Feefo scooped more awards for the trophy cabinet

Building on our incredible haul of 2015, we’ve added more trophies to our cabinet this year! We’re particularly proud of our #55 ranking in the Tech Track Top 100. In 2014, we were the ‘Ones to Watch’; to convert that into an official rank in such a well recognised table is a testament to our continued growth, and dedication to excellence.

We were also thrilled to retain our Supplier of the Year Award for Best Online Customer Feedback Service, along with scooping Business of the Year at the Amazon Growing Business Awards.

We’re going from strength to strength, and are proud of what we’re achieving in the reviews space. 

Unleashing innovation, with Feefo 3.0

We’re always working to provide the best and most powerful solutions for the businesses that work with us. This year, we launched our biggest update ever, with Feefo 3.0. This incredibly powerful upgrade saw improvements across practically every area of Feefo: from improving the user experience, to enhancing integration and our reporting suite.

Feefo 3.0 paves the way for exciting new developments in 2017, with a slicker coding structure, and a new five star rating system, we’re looking forward to unveiling all of our latest innovations in the future!

Bringing service reviews to life with video! 

Last year, we unveiled the functionality for customers to leave videos on the products they review. At Feefo, we understand how shareable, influential, and trusted video can be. In fact, for millennials, user generated content (UGC), like videos, are more influential than professional marketing and celebrity endorsements.

In keeping with our ethos of providing the very best solutions and tools for those that work with us, this incredibly powerful functionality comes as standard.

Now, we’ve extended the functionality to cover service reviews too. This means that all businesses, whether they collect reviews on products, services or both, can benefit from videos. We’re excited to see how businesses will leverage video testimonials, and how customers will bring their experiences to life with creative videos!

Feefo on the road 

We made our way to more events than ever this year. From sharing our industry leading expertise at the World Travel Market in London, to delivering a masterclass in reaching  millennials at Integrated Live, Feefo have been showcasing our genuine review solution all across the country.

This year, we also ran our first partner event: Feefo Connected. We’re thrilled to work with some incredible organisations, that see the value in the Feefo platform. Feefo Connected was held at the Shard in London, and was a fantastic night of sharing our latest developments, and bringing together our partners to network and explore new possibilities.

Doing our bit

Over the years, the passionate people at Feefo have pulled together to take on some pretty crazy feats for charity. From tackling the national three peaks challenge, to sponsored hikes and cycles, we’ve raised nearly £12,000 for our nominated charity – Just a Drop.

This year saw an intrepid group take on perhaps our most daring challenge yet – the Race to the King Ultra-marathon. This gruelling, non-stop, 53.5 mile trek across the beautiful South Downs took the team from Arundel in West Sussex, to the ancient capital of England – Winchester, in Hampshire.

Braving thunderstorms, tough terrain and no sleep, the group completed the challenge within 25 hours – raising over £2,500 for just a drop in the process!

World class support

This year, with so many new enhancements, features and developments, we wanted to make sure that businesses had the latest information at their fingertips. We launched the Feefo Support Portal to provide a first port of call for any queries and questions, and to help merchants make the most of using Feefo.

Along with providing a wealth of walkthroughs, guides and release notes, we want to work closely with the businesses that use our services, in order to provide a beneficial solution that adds maximum value. That’s why we’ve implemented an ideas forum within the support hub. Through this, businesses can submit their own ideas, and share what they find most useful, helping us to build an even better reviews platform.
