Faces of Feefo: Vicky Gardner

Published on 05 July, 2019

In this week's Faces of Feefo, we speak to HR Advisor Vicky Gardner.

How long have you been working at Feefo?

10 months.

What’s a typical day for you at Feefo?Vicky-Gardner-lifestyle.jpg

My typical day is a varied multitude of activities from inducting new starters to supporting team members on their career journey. Apart from the normal daily activities you would expect HR to complete (employee letters, updating policies, administration of the HR system), my role also involves advising line managers and senior leaders on best practice people management, ethical practice and supporting our employees to achieve their potential and deliver outstanding service.

What’s the best customer experience you’ve ever received?

The best customer experience I’ve had was in Canada. We took some friends (visiting from the UK) to a local restaurant where the waitress was having a bad day and muddled our order with the table next to us. The manager not only did not charge us for our meal, but also gave us a $50 gift card to return on an occasion of our choice. Needless to say, we continued to use that restaurant and never had a bad experience again.

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

Free time is something of a luxury for me at the moment as I’m studying a Postgraduate Diploma, but when I’m not studying, I like to spend time with my family, visit the gym and walk the dog. We’ve recently begun completing treasure trails in our local towns which are a lot of fun and a good way to take a break from studying!

What’s the best thing about working at Feefo?

The best thing about Feefo is the people. Feefo employees are passionate and enthusiastic about our product and strive to make a difference, which makes it a pleasure to come to work every day. I feel privileged to work with people who genuinely believe in what they do, value every interaction and importantly, enjoy being part of the team!
