Faces of Feefo: Sammy Pett

Published on 14 June, 2019

In this week's Faces of Feefo, we speak to Finance Manager Sammy Pett.

How long have you been working at Feefo?

It will be five years in August.

What’s a typical day for you at Feefo?sammy-pett-lifestyle.jpg

As the Finance Manager I oversee most aspects of the Finance Department. My main duties are month end accounting, reporting, purchase ledger, payroll and expenses. A typical day for me varies depending on where we are the in the month, so it can be a day spent reconciling the sales ledger accounts, running reports for the CFO, posting supplier invoices, making payroll payments or helping out with sales ledger queries. There are always a lot of deadlines in Finance so organising the workload between the team is a must.

What’s the best customer experience you’ve ever received?

The best customer service I heard about recently was actually for my friend – she had ordered some flowers from Bloom Magic to be delivered on a certain day to be given as a thank you gift. The delivery company text to say they couldn’t be delivered until four days later, which was going to be too late. She contacted Bloom Magic who had no notice from the delivery company so were under the impression the flowers had been delivered. Regardless of this, they were very apologetic and arranged for another bunch to be sent next day with priority delivery to ensure they were received on time. It was something so simple, but it really showed they care about their customers and their experience.

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

I spend most of my weekends supporting Portsmouth – travelling up and down the country to the glamourous locations in the football league. I also love an adventure/holiday and have just come back from trekking the Great Wall of China, which was a challenging but incredible experience.

What’s the best thing about working at Feefo?

Everyone says the people and it really is true. I’ve made some great friends at Feefo and it’s such a fun environment to work in.

I’ve also been very lucky and have had some amazing opportunities, including the chance to go to Kenya with the Charity Committee last year which was an amazing and rewarding experience.
