In this week's Faces of Feefo, we spoke to Feefo's Chief Financial Officer Richard Sawney.
How long have you been working at Feefo?
I have worked with Feefo for more than seven years, but I joined full-time in December last year.
What’s a typical day for you at Feefo?
Very varied as I can be working with anyone in the business, but my duties are mainly financial so involve reporting to our investors, working with HR and recruitment to ensure we have the right people in the right places, speaking to our Operations team to ensure the office runs smoothly and liaising with legal to make sure we abide by the law and agree with our customers on contract terms.
What’s the best customer experience you’ve ever received?
I was on a flight home after visiting my parents in France and we were unable to land at Gatwick, so the flight turned back and we had to stay in Bordeaux for the night. We were given an evening meal and a free room in the hotel. We received an alarm call at 7am the next morning and the coach was waiting for us to take us back to the airport. We didn’t have to ask for anything; the airline and the hotel staff were excellent.
Turning a bad situation into a positive experience is always a winner for me.
What do you do when you’re not in the office?
When I’m not at Feefo I spend time with my family but sneak off for a few games of golf and enjoy watching sport, especially cricket, horse racing and rugby.
What’s the best thing about working at Feefo?
The best thing about working at Feefo is the people. When you enjoy coming to work you know that the people in the office make it a great place to work.
